Short description

Jean Claude Van Damme plays a dual role as Alex and Chad, twins separated at the death of their parents. Chad is raised by a family retainer in Paris, Alex becomes a petty crook in Hong Kong. Seeing a picture of Alex, Chad rejoins him and convinces him that his rival in Hong Kong is also the man who killed their parents. Alex is suspicious of Chad, especially when it comes to his girlfriend.

What's left behind the scenes

Bolo Yeung, who plays one of the villains in this film, also appeared in another film starring Van Damme – "Bloodsport" (1988).
In the scene where Chad and Alex wake up on the island after fighting each other, they see bad guys attacking the island. Chad attacks one of them and takes his rifle. Alex, in turn, attacks a guy on the beach and takes his dagger. After that, Alex enters the hotel, holding the weapon that Chad had taken earlier, while Chad presses the dagger, which Alex had taken from the guy on the beach, to his neck.
Filming took place in Hong Kong and Los Angeles from November 4th to December 30th, 1990.
Jean-Claude Van Damme and Bolo Yeung became friends during the filming of Newton Arnold's action film "Bloodsport" (1988), and now Van Damme insisted that Yeung play only the main antagonist.
During filming in Hong Kong, screenwriter Boaz Yakin was on set for a month, helping to revise the script. He also came up with several memorable lines for the audience.
