- The music playing during Elijah's exhibition is the same composition that Rogue/Marie's mother was learning in the opening scenes of 'X-Men' (2000).
- In the film "Die Hard 3: Vengeance" (1995), Inspector Cobb (Larry Bryggman) tells John McClane (Bruce Willis) that "next month he will be working as a security guard." In this film, Bruce played a security guard.
- Elijah asks David why he chose a profession related to protecting people, and not some other one, among which he mentions organizing a restaurant chain. In real life, Bruce Willis is one of the founders of the "Planet Hollywood" restaurant chain.
- Osteogenesis Imperfecta is a very rare, real-life disease that was recreated with particular accuracy in the film.
