Short description
After the unexpected death of the Pope, Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with managing the covert and ancient ritual of electing a new one. Sequestered in the Vatican with the Catholic Church’s most powerful leaders until the process is complete, Lawrence finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could lead to its downfall.

- Filming took place in the Royal Palace of Caserta.
- According to the analytics company Luminate, following the death of Pope Francis on April 21, 2025, views of the film in online cinemas increased by 283% compared to April 20. On April 21 alone, the film reached 6.9 million minutes of viewing, while the day before it did not exceed 2 million minutes.
- At the beginning of the film, it is shown that the seal from the Pope's ring is removed after his death, but in reality, the seal should be destroyed in the presence of cardinal witnesses. This is done to prevent the forgery of documents.
- At the 44th minute, it is shown that the cardinals leave the hall after the first day of voting. According to the rules, cardinals can only leave the conclave after the election is completed or due to health reasons.
