A world without Avengers doesn't mean there's not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they're called the Thunderbolts.
What's left behind the scenes
- Steven Yeun was cast for one of the roles, but filming started later than planned due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Yeun left the project due to scheduling conflicts, and his role was given to Lewis Pullman.
- Actress Florence Pugh jumped from the Merdeka 118 skyscraper during the filming of the opening scene; at the time of filming, it was the second-tallest building in the world.
- According to screenwriter Eric Pearson, he wrote a storyline for Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) throughout the film, where she periodically lost her memory and attacked John Walker (Wyatt Russell). The Ghost (Hanna John-Kamen) would help the heroine cope with the problem. Director Jake Schreier said the reason for the script change was a desire to show that the characters' dark pasts have consequences.
