What's left behind the scenes
- A significant portion of the film's humorous elements are borrowed from the stand-up routines and podcast of director and screenwriter Bill Burr. Fans of Burr immediately recognize that Aspen is how Burr views Steve Jobs, as shown in one of his routines. According to Burr, Jobs “…constantly runs around the office chewing on some kind of pear.” Aspen also constantly runs around the office, conducts a PowerPoint presentation like Jobs, and chews on some kind of pear after finishing the presentation.
