Short description
The story of the life of Domino Harvey, who abandoned her career as a Ford model to become a bounty hunter.

What's left behind the scenes

  • In late May 2005, FBI agents arrested Domino Harvey, the real-life inspiration for Keira Knightley's character in the film, with a million-dollar stash of amphetamines. The woman was charged with possession, distribution of narcotics, and racketeering.
  • On June 27, 2005, Domino Harvey was found dead in her home in Los Angeles.
  • The film is based on the true story of Domino Harvey, the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey ( "The Manchurian Candidate"), who left the world of fashion to become a bounty hunter.
  • Thanks to Gusmano Cesaretti, Michael Mann's constant assistant, Tony Scott was able to film a real gang from 18th Street, Los Angeles.
  • Tony Scott found Domino in Beverly Hills, where she lived with her mother, Pauline Stone, and stepfather, Peter Morton. He invited Domino to his office and offered to make a film about her life. Harvey agreed and sold the rights to adapt her life story. According to the Los Angeles Times, she was paid $360,000. Tony Scott interviewed Harvey, her commander Ed Martinez, and Choco, who worked with her. Tony also met with bail bondsman Clermont Williams III, who gave them jobs.
  • The 20th Century Fox film company, initially interested in the project, then suspended funding, and eventually the film went to New Line Cinema.
  • The film is based on the true story of Domino Harvey, the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey ("The Manchurian Candidate"), who left the world of fashion to become a bounty hunter.
