Luis Fernando Verissimo (Porto Alegre, September 26, 1936) is a Brazilian writer, comedian, cartoonist, translator, television scriptwriter, theater author and novelist. He was an advertiser and newspaper reviewer. He is also a musician, having played the saxophone in some ensembles.
