Faye Yvette McQueen was born in Jamaica, New York. She attended Catholic School, studied dance at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NYC and Martha Graham Contemporary Dance School. Faye started her own dance school at the age of 12 in her neighborhood. She performed with The New York Broadway Dancing Cheerleaders in NYC, Liberation Ensemble and Inspiration Dance Company before attending college at Goucher College in Towson, Maryland in 1979. She received a BFA in Dance Education and a minor in Spanish. Faye later attended graduate school at Southern Methodist University to pursue a Master's degree in Dance in 1984. While in graduate school she performed with "Dallas Black Dance Theater". Faye is the founder and Artistic Director of "The Dancer's Warehouse, Inc. (1988), a non-profit dance school located in Atlanta, Georgia. She travels every summer to the Tuscanny region of Italy to perform with a dance company called, "ProDanza Italia/USA.© ACMODASI, 2010- 2025
