He Keke is a teacher and deputy head of the TV Art Department of the Central Academy of Drama. In 1993, he graduated from the Literature Department of Beijing Film Academy with a bachelor's degree in film playwriting. In 2001, he graduated from the postgraduate class of the Directing Department of Beijing Film Academy and obtained a master's degree in feature film directing.
