Victor Surge (real name Eric Knudsen) is the creator of the internet horror character Slender Man. He created Slender Man in 2009, for a contest on the website Something Awful. Around 2012, Slender Man became a sensation, spawning stories, fan art, games, and web-series (ex: Marble Hornets, TribeTwelve.) He went on to help produce several Slender Man related projects, including games, and a 2018 film adaptation.
