Oliver Lee Garland was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. He studied acting, communication and architecture. He became well-known advertising director in South America, filming comedy, and achieving great performances of famous football players. In 2015, he won Best Uruguayan Director at the Ojo de Iberoamérica Festival. From Core to Sun (2018) is his first documentary feature film.
