Stray Kids is a South Korean boy band formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2017 reality show of the same name. The group is composed of eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. The group is primarily self-produced, with 3RACHA (consisting of members Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han) as their main producing team and the other members frequently participating in songwriting.

Since the release of "God's Menu", Stray Kids changed their point of view, getting rid of doubts about the future for a confidence enjoying the present; not overcoming anxiety and struggles, but running freely in spite of them. Themes from older releases are still topical for this new confidence: "stray kids" around the world should embrace their oddinary or special sides, just like Stray Kids embrace the "noise music" label to make it theirs. The "malataste genre" became a common denomination since "God's Menu" and its cooking metaphor. The word refers to their songs being a mixture of unusual sounds, structures and lyrics, numbing the listener with a strong and spicy impression, but also leaving him curious to hear/taste more.

Their ninth Korean-language EP 'ATE' was released on July 19 with the lead single "Chk Chk Boom". In support of the EP, the group headlined I-Days in Milan, BST Hyde Park in London, and will participate Lollapalooza in Chicago, as well as the third world tour, Dominate World Tour.
