• Initially, Alexandre Aja was invited to direct the film.
• Some members of the gang in the 13th district wear t-shirts with the symbols of American National Football League (NFL) football clubs. The film crew did not obtain permission from the NFL Players Association to display the name of any player, and therefore, on the advice of the studio's lawyers, the players' names were removed from the t-shirts.
