What's left behind the scenes

  • The film is based on the real battle for Hill 937.
  • At the end of the film there is a scene in which a soldier, with his face hidden by bandages, reaches out to his comrades who run past him. This scene references a famous photograph taken at the 'Hamburger Hill' position.
  • An electrician died of an electric shock right before the eyes of the film crew and actors. The project nearly ended because of this, but it was still continued after a properly organized funeral.
