A literal translation of the film's title is "Furious".
The name of Robert Towne, one of the screenplay's co-authors, was not included in the credits.
The voice of the man in the tweed jacket questioning Michelle in her apartment belongs to Roman Polanski.
Under pressure from the studio, Roman Polanski was forced to cut 15 minutes of screen time from the original version of the film and completely reshoot the ending.
After reviewing the footage, Harrison Ford suggested Polanski change the title of the film to 'Mildly Excited'. Roman did not appreciate the joke.
