On the last day of filming, Clark Gable stated: 'Good Lord! I’m happy this picture is finally finished. She [Monroe] nearly gave me a heart attack.' The next day, Gable suffered a myocardial infarction and died eleven days later.
John Huston earned $250 by filming himself in a cameo role.
