- Andrew Bergman was originally slated to direct the film. He was also tasked with reworking the original screenplay.
- Christian Kane and Brittany Murphy had previously worked together on the film "Summer Games" (2001).
- During the filming of a scene with a cockroach, the nimble insect managed to get lost, and all work was interrupted to catch the fugitive, which took about twenty minutes.
- Brittany Murphy did not speak French at all, so she had to memorize all her lines in that language by heart, paying attention to correct pronunciation.
- Christian Kane and Brittany Murphy had previously worked together on the film “Summer Games” (2001).
