Short description
Regina meets charming Joshua while vacationing in Martinique, as she contemplates ending her whirlwind marriage to enigmatic Charlie. Upon her return to Paris, she finds that both her apartment and her bank account have been emptied, and her husband has been murdered. The more Reggie learns, the more she realizes the scope of the puzzle which she must solve to protect herself from ever-increasing danger.
What's left behind the scenes
- The role of Joshua Peters was initially intended for Will Smith, but due to delays with filming the sports drama "Ali" (2001), he was unable to participate in the project, and director Jonathan Demme (1944-2017) gave the role to Mark Wahlberg. Thus, Demme's dream of directing a duet between Smith and Thandiwe Newton, which he had cherished since seeing Stanley Donen's romantic detective story "Charade" (1963), did not come to fruition.
