- Filming took place in Montreal and New York.
- The film was released in Australia under the title "The Wrong Man".
- While Jason Smilovich was writing the script in New York, Josh Hartnett was his neighbor. At the beginning of the film, Sleevin frequently wears a towel around his waist, which is because Smilovich often saw Hartnett like that.
