What's left behind the scenes
- Volver is a legendary Argentine tango, immortalized by Carlos Gardel. In the film, it was performed by Estrella Morente.
- In Pedro Almodóvar's previous film, "Bad Education" (2004), there are two allusions to "Volver" (2006): firstly, a poster for Enrique Goded's "Grandmother Ghost," and secondly, the name of actress Carmen Maura appears in the lower left corner of another poster in the office of El Azar S.L.
- "Volver" was the first joint film by Almodóvar and actress Carmen Maura after an 18-year break. In the 80s, almost no Almodóvar film went without the participation of this actress, but their relationship soured after "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" (1988).
