• Volver is a legendary Argentine tango, immortalized by Carlos Gardel. In the film, it was performed by Estrella Morente.
• In Pedro Almodóvar's previous film, "Bad Education" (2004), there are two allusions to "Volver" (2006): firstly, a poster for Enrique Goded's "Grandmother Ghost," and secondly, the name of actress Carmen Maura appears in the lower left corner of another poster in the office of El Azar S.L.
