• Jennifer Jason Leigh was long considered for the role of Brenda. When work on the film began, the actress was busy with another project, and Jill Hennessy took on the role of Brenda.
• The role of Mickey was written for Alec Baldwin.
• The film is set in the 1970s. While depicting Han Solo from 'Star Wars' in his room, Scott says: 'Well, what kind of friend are you, Lando!'
