What's left behind the scenes
- Filming began on June 19, 2006, and for a while took place in the Fontainebleau forest, but the film crew soon found themselves at a studio in Alicante, where an Olympic stadium had already been erected.
- Real athletes appeared in cameo roles in the film: racing driver Michael Schumacher, tennis player Amélie Mauresmo, basketball player Tony Parker, and footballer Zinedine Zidane (although initially it was assumed that it would be David Beckham).
- Like Caesar in this film, Alain Delon often speaks about himself in the third person.
