Short description
A country boy becomes the head of a gang through the purchase of some lucky roses from an old lady. He and a singer at the gang's nightclub try to do a good deed for the old lady when her daughter comes to visit.

  • While performing a somersault over a rickshaw, Jackie Chan suffered a deep cut to his left eye.
  • During filming, a typhoon destroyed many of the sets. The film crew had to rebuild them in order to finish the film.
  • According to Jackie Chan's autobiography, the film was shot in 9 months and cost $9 million to make, which was an unprecedented sum for Hong Kong films at the time. The film flopped at the box office, and Golden Harvest studio was dissatisfied with this. To somehow compensate for the low box office receipts, Chan filmed "Armour of God II: Operation Condor" (1991).
