Short description

Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificently adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she cracks open a window and climbs back into his life-dressed like a ninja and summoning him for an ingenious campaign of revenge-he follows. After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to discover that Margo, always an enigma, has now become a mystery. But Q soon learns that there are clues-and they're for him. Cara Delevingne was not the only actress considered for the role of Margot. Initially, the role was given to Shailene Woodley, but she left the project due to scheduling conflicts with the film "Divergent, Chapter 2: Insurgent" (2015). John Green said he would have liked to cast YouTuber Emma Blackery in the role, but casting was not up to him.
John Green played a cameo role – his voice is that of Becky's father.
The film was shot over five days in Huntersville, North Carolina, in the Skybrook area, in November 2014.
In the book, Quentin does not attend the prom; moreover, he repeatedly states that he despises the event.
