Short description

What's left behind the scenes
- The film is based on Guy Endore's novel 'The Werewolf of Paris'.
- The only werewolf film made by Hammer Studios.
- Makeup artist Roy Ashton based the makeup for this film on the makeup Jack P. Pierce used in 'The Wolf Man' (1941).
- Over five minutes of footage was cut for the UK release due to censorship. Even more scenes were cut for the American release.
- The first twenty minutes of the film are accompanied by a narration from Don Alfredo. But since he was not a witness to these events, he could not know what happened.
- During the opening credits, the edges of the contact lenses are clearly visible when a close-up shows the werewolf's eyes.
- The film is based on the novel "The Parisian Werewolf" by Guy Endore.
- Makeup artist Roy Ashton based the makeup for this film on the makeup used by Jack P. Pierce in the film "The Wolf Man" (1941).
