The main character of the cartoon, the troll Orm, has 2,343,997 hairs. Arrog is less 'hairy' – he has only 1,311,143 hairs.
The 'North Wind' character consists of 80 million particles.
The most laborious scene in the film is the fish emerging from the waterfall. It took 25 layers of effects to create it. Testing and production of this scene took 3 weeks.
A 200 terabyte server was needed for all the materials and rendering of the cartoon’s special effects.
