Young Vincent Malloy dreams of being just like Vincent Price and loses himself in macabre daydreams that annoy his mother.

As photographs from that time show, the main characters and sets of the cartoon were originally in color. But it was ultimately decided to make the film in black and white.
Vincent Price declared that this was his best work in cinema.
The cat running across the wall in the film's credits also appears in other works by Burton: 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' 'Corpse Bride.'
On October 19, 2007, the cartoon was supposed to be re-released in 3D format. However, for reasons that were not disclosed, Disney Studios once again postponed the release of "Vincent".
