- As photographs from that time show, the main characters and sets of the cartoon were originally in color. But it was ultimately decided to make the film in black and white.
- Vincent Price declared that this was his best work in cinema.
- The cat running across the wall in the film's credits also appears in other works by Burton: 'The Nightmare Before Christmas,' 'Corpse Bride.'
- On October 19, 2007, the cartoon was supposed to be re-released in 3D format. However, for reasons that were not disclosed, Disney Studios once again postponed the release of "Vincent".
