• Chris Evans was considered for the role of Tom and even began negotiations with the studio, but dropped out due to commitments to another project. He was replaced by Justin Theroux.
• Kate Mara was cast as Megan but left the project. She was ultimately replaced by Haley Bennett.
• Margot Robbie was also considered for the role of Megan.
• Jared Leto was considered for the role of Scott, but he was busy with another project. He was replaced by Luke Evans.
