Short description
Just when his time under house arrest is about to end, Scott Lang once again puts his freedom at risk to help Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym dive into the quantum realm and try to accomplish, against time and any chance of success, a very dangerous rescue mission.

What's left behind the scenes

  • The microscopic creatures shown in the film, resembling alien life forms, are tardigrades. Due to their tiny size and ability to withstand harsh conditions, they are widespread from the Himalayas to the deep sea. They have been found in hot springs and under ice. When unfavorable conditions arise, tardigrades are able to enter a state of suspended animation for years. Tardigrades are insensitive to negative temperatures, enormous pressure, radiation, and even exposure to open space.
  • The heroes are watching the film "Them!" (Gordon Douglas, 1954) on a laptop.
  • Shortly after the film begins, Scott watches John Landis's comedy "Animal House" (1978).
  • Scott grumbles that a hat and sunglasses are not enough for a disguise. The fact is that in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, various characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and others have already tried to resort to such a disguise.
  • The 20th anniversary film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The 55th anniversary of the first appearance of the superheroine Wasp (July 1963).
  • The film was shot with Arri Alexa 65 cameras, and a lens invented by Australian inventor and cinematographer James Fraser was used for filming some scenes.
  • The working title of the film was "Cherry Blue".
