The film was shot in the Canadian province of Alberta, specifically on the territory of Dinosaur Provincial Park, where the remains of more than 500 dinosaurs have been found.
Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. However, the Greek language itself arose approximately 3400 years ago, and the alphabet around the 9th-8th centuries BC. The film takes place 20,000 years ago, when the word 'alpha' simply did not exist.
