Short description
Forced to move to a boring backwater town, a teenager embarks on affairs with a teacher and a stoner classmate.

- In a flashback, Laura Lee dances to Sonic Youth's "Kool Thing" (1981-2011) from their 1990 album "Goo." The film itself owes its title to the band's fifth studio album, "Daydream Nation" (1988). One of the central characters in the film is named Thurston – likely in honor of the band's vocalist and guitarist Thurston Moore.
