Short description
Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran, brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks and his rookie partner take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. - Filming in Toronto began on July 8, 2019, and wrapped on August 28, 2019.
- The working title of the film was “The Organ Donor.”
- Chris Rock is a longtime fan of the "Saw" franchise and convinced Lionsgate executives to film it.
- According to director Darren Lynn Bousman, one of the gruesome scenes had to be cut from the film so that the Motion Picture Association would give it an R rating instead of NC-17.
