• Clint Eastwood's punctuality and organizational skills as a director allowed filming to be completed three weeks ahead of schedule, saving between two and four million dollars.
• The director's daughters, Kimber Eastwood (née Kimber Tunis) and Alison Eastwood, appeared in cameo roles. Kimber's appearance in the cast was met with surprise, as Eastwood had never spoken about her to outsiders or acknowledged her existence.
