- Midway through the film, Detective Emerson asks his assistant to find someone capable of killing an opponent with one blow. She replies that he "needs a guy from 1109." This is a reference to the film "Minority Report" (2002), where Tom Cruise's character investigated case #1109.
- During the car chase scene with the police, a vehicle inspection sticker can be seen on Reacher's car. Initially, it shows July 2012, but the date changes to September 2012.
- In the bar, when Jack calls Helen and Charlie, the call timer on the Blackberry abruptly changes from 25 to 27, and then to 15 seconds.
- During the car chase, the main character's vehicle sustained damage to the rear left side, including the taillight; however, by the end of the chase, both taillights were intact again.
