When Ethan Hunt, the leader of a crack espionage team whose perilous operation has gone awry with no explanation, discovers that a mole has penetrated the CIA, he's surprised to learn that he's the No. 1 suspect. - The role originally written for Vanessa Redgrave was intended for a man.
- The film is based on a television series by Bruce Geller.
- In the Channel Tunnel, trains traveling in opposite directions run on separate tunnels: the hero on the roof of the train could not have seen the oncoming train.
- The TGV train is an electric train, therefore it should have a pantograph (or current collector), and the railway should have an overhead catenary system. Neither of these are present in the film.
- Filming took place from March 13 to August 8, 1995.
