What's left behind the scenes
- Dax Shepard was asked to become blond for the duration of filming due to concerns that viewers would confuse him with Dane Cook.
- In an alternative plotline that was not released, Eva Longoria played one of the supermarket employees. Scenes with her can be seen in one of the menu sections on the DVD release.
- In one scene, Harland Williams' character states that Dane Cook's character looks like the drummer from the American rock band REO Speedwagon. At that moment, the band's song “Can't Fight This Feeling” (1984) plays in the background.
